It’s a good start for getting a basic idea of what you wanna do, but try looking into other majors through taking the JSOM core courses. I personally am a business administration major (without a concentration) and I don’t think it’s that bad of a major. However, maybe you see that as a good thing, and use the extra time to complete projects, be an intern, volunteer. And really, some majors really are "easier" to complete than others. You might be surprised to major in Accounting and find yourself colleagues with people who are Chemistry, Psychology, and Econ majors (real life example from the accounting department my mom works in).Īnd when you know nothing about two people, and hear one majored in say, Mathematics, and one majored in Business Administration, who do you think is going to be seen as "smarter"? What about if that Business Admin went to Harvard, but the Math major went to some no name private school in the boondocks?
